About the Role: The team at Sunny Queen are seeking a Project Manager to join their growing business. The new Project Manager role will be responsible for the expansion project of Sunny Queen Australia’s food production facility located in Carole Park, from concept design through to industrialisation. The right candidate will be a Mechanical Engineering professional with solid experience in the Food industry, specifically in design and construction of food processing facilities. The role will involve constant communication with stakeholders, subcontractors and staff; therefore, the right candidate will be a calm, highly organised person with professional communication skills. This is an initial fixed term (18 month) staff contract, working directly for Sunny Queen Australia. An opportunity to lead a project of this scale and significance from concept to handover does not come around often during a Project Managers career. Skills and experience / technical competency: Qualified Engineer – mechanical preferred, (possibly electrical or process if suitable experienced) RPEQ or Eligible Must have a background in factory layout and design and construction for the food industry - Equipment will include, materials handling/conveying, ovens, piping, access platforms Control systems (SCADA and PLC), robotic pick and place machines Have best Practice knowledge of hygiene standards as they apply to the food production industry Ability to produce concept and layout drawings and supervise other engineers, designers/drafters Contracts management Strong budget management capabilities Bid management and Tender evaluation Scope development of work packages Site construction management. Management of staff and subcontractors Health and safety management and permitting for subcontractors Desired Behavioural traits for success: Good ability to lead cross-functional problem solving Ability to prioritise when there are conflicting demands from various stakeholders Sound analytical and implementation skills Strong leadership ability Calm/even tempered and highly organised in approach Excellent communication, written and oral skills Pragmatic and ethical approach Good attention to detail
