Director of Emergency Medicine - An opportunity for a Specialist Emergency leader, wanting to establish themselves in a Regional Hospital.

About the Role

The role provides clinical leadership and supervision for this ED as well as supporting the service improvement and general operations of the department.  The Director ensures the safe and effective running of the 24 x 7 emergency service, supported by a stable team of skilled senior clinicians. The Director will promote a culture of safe supported learning to obtain accreditation for ACEM training in the near future.  The position offered provides 0.5fte administrative time with additional clinical hours to be agreed up to 1.0 fte equivalent. Appointment can be offered on either a Staff Specialist or VMO basis subject to negotiation with the right applicant Located in a  city in south-eastern region of the Australian state of New South Wales, adjacent to the ACT and Southern Tablelands, this 29 bed Hospital has an 8 chair day surgery and renal unit. They provide cute, maternity, renal, community health, dental, allied health service access and an emergency department operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, managing over 22,000 emergency presentations each year supported by a full range of diagnostic, acute and surgical services either on site or in close proximity at the Canberra Hospital.   What's on offer?
