Connect Medical is looking for an Emergency Specialist to influence and foster an enthusiastic team of health professionals. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Specialist, who will work as part of the Department of Emergency Medicine across Tasmania’s North West Region.

About the Role

The culture within the ED is one of collaboration with all staff, including clerks, nurses, junior doctors and trainees, allied health, radiology, pathology, first response teams and inpatient teams. The medical services across the North West region of Tasmania are based primarily at the North West Regional Hospital (NWRH) in Burnie and at the Mersey Community Hospital (MCH) in Latrobe close to Devonport. The NWRH Emergency Department has an annual attendance rate of 27,600 patients per year with a 28 per cent admission rate. You will be working across the two sites. The hospitals both have busy emergency and general medical departments. There are extensive outpatient services for a range of sub-specialty services many of which are provided by visiting specialists from Launceston and Hobart Hospitals and major hospitals in Victoria. Ideal Candidate
