An opportunity for a Specialist Psychiatrist to join this Acute Mental health service in this coastal Queensland location, to provide specialist treatment and care for public patients with Telehealth services.

About the Role

This 24 bed unit and as Step- up Step down 6 bed unit is looking for a passionate and committed specialist, who is inspired to provide advanced-quality clinical care. Typical individuals presenting to facilities within the health service include those with with psychiatric, alcohol and other drugs, emotional and/or behavioral disturbances, including those being treated under the Mental Health Act (2016). The Hospital is a state-of-the-art hospital in a sunny coastal location only an hour and 20 minutes flight from Brisbane and services approximately 182,000 people in an area of approximately 90,000km2  What's on offer? Ideal Candidate

Professional Qualification: Mandatory possession of a medicine degree from a registered tertiary institution and; Fellowship or eligibility for Fellowship via the substantial comparability pathway of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) and; Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia in Psychiatry or appropriate registration with the Medical Board of Australia to practice in the specialist position.
